Canadian Tire 2012 NHL® All-Star Game VIP Weekend Contest

Official Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.

1. Eligibility: The Canadian Tire 2012 NHL® All-Star Game VIP Weekend contest (the “Contest”) is open only to legal residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence at the time of entry. Employees of Canadian Tire Corporation, Limited, Canadian Tire Financial Services Limited, Canadian Tire Associate Dealers, Canadian Tire Petroleum -Retailers, the National Hockey League (“NHL”) and its member clubs, NHL Enterprises, L.P., NHL Enterprises Canada, L.P., NHL Enterprises B.V., NHL Interactive CyberEnterprises, LLC (the foregoing NHL entities, collectively, the “NHLEntities”), their promotional and fulfillment agencies and any of their respective parent and affiliate companies, immediate family members of such persons and those with whom such persons are domiciled and household members of each such employee are not eligible. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.

2. Sponsor: Canadian Tire Corporation, Limited (the “Sponsor”), 2180 Yonge St. P.O. Box 770 Station K, Toronto, ON Canada, M4P 2V8. Administrator: T1 Fulfillment (“Administrator”), 5605 McAdam Road, Mississauga, Ontario, L4Z 1N4.

3. Agreement to Official Rules: By participating in the Contest, entrant fully and unconditionally agrees to and accepts these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and/or Administrator, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest. Whether an entrant receives a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.

4. Timing: The Contest begins on August 19, 2011 at or around 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time ("ET") and ends on October 21st, 2011 at or around 11:59:59 a.m. ET (the "Contest Period"). There is one (1) Grand Prize (the “Grand Prize”) available to be won from among all the eligible entries received during the Contest Period; there are also sixty-four (64) daily prizes (the “Daily Prizes”) available to be won from among all the eligible entries received each day during the Contest Period.

Administrator's computer is the official time-keeping device for the Contest.

5. How to Enter the Contest: During the Contest Period, visit www.canadiantirehockeyschool.ca/gearguide (the “Website”) and create a “hockey gear list” using the Gear Guide on the Website. You will need to register for the Canadian Tire Hockey School before entering the Contest. There is no cost to register for the Canadian Tire Hockey School or the Contest. All entries must be received no later than October 21st, 2011 at 11:59:59 a.m.ET. One entry per person/e-mail address per day will be accepted during the Contest Period. In the event it is discovered that a person has attempted to enter more than once per day, all of his/her entries will be void.

All entrants will have to correctly answer the mathematical skill testing question that appears on-screen once they have submitted an entry into the Contest, without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical, electronic or otherwise, and agree to these Official Rules in order to be declared a prize winner.

6. Prizes: ONE (1) GRAND PRIZE: The Grand Prize trip has an approximate retail value ("ARV") of $13,500 CDN based on departure from Vancouver, BC. The trip consists of:

- four (4) tickets to each of: the 2012 NHL® All-Star Game, scheduled to be held on January 29, 2012 in Ottawa, Ontario; the 2012 NHL® All-Star Saturday Night Party, scheduled to be held on January 28, 2012; the 2012 NHL All-Star Skills CompetitionTM, scheduled to be held on January 28, 2012; and the 2012 NHL Fan FairTM;

- four (4) round trip flights to Ottawa, ON (from the closest international airport to winner's residence);

- two (2) nights accommodation for four (4) (based on double occupancy) at a 4+ star hotel;

- limousine transportation to and from the events/hotel

- $1,500 spending money

Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

The ARV is based upon a Vancouver, BC departure; the actual value may vary depending on the specific city of departure and originating airport. No cash substitutions for the difference in value, if any, will be awarded. All travel arrangements will be arranged by Sponsor or its agents. Winner and guests must travel together, from the major international airport nearest to the winner’s residence. Winner and travel companions are solely responsible for transportation to the departing city airport, taxes, transfers, travel insurance, tips, meals and other travel, hotel and any other charges not specifically mentioned as part of this Grand Prize. Winner and travel companions are solely responsible for obtaining their own travel documents such as passport or travel visa in advance of the departure date. In the event the travel companions are minors, such travel companions’ parents or legal guardians must sign the release and declaration of liability (as described below) on behalf of the minor. If the adult winner is not the parent or legal guardian of the minor(s), the minor(s)’ parent(s) or legal guardian(s) must consent to the designated accompanying adult in order for the minor(s) to take part in the Grand Prize. Winner and travel companions must travel together on the same itinerary.

No cash equivalent will be provided. The Grand Prize is non-transferable and no substitution will be made unless Sponsor, in its sole discretion, determines otherwise. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize for one of equal or greater value should the prize become unavailable for any reason. If any activity relating to any prize is canceled or postponed for any reason, the balance of that prize will be awarded in full satisfaction of the prize award. Winner is responsible for all taxes and fees associated with prize receipt and/or use. All Grand Prize details are at Sponsor’s sole discretion.

SIXTY-FOUR (64) DAILY PRIZES: 64 random draws will be conducted each day of the Contest Period for a $100 Canadian Tire gift card.

7. Prizes Draws: For the Grand Prize, one computer-generated random draw will be made by the Administrator on October 25th, 2011, at or around 12:00 p.m. ET from all eligible entries received during the Contest Period.

Potential Daily Prize winners will be randomly drawn by the Administrator via a computer each day during the Contest Period (and the day following the last day of the Contest Period) at or around 9:00 a.m. ET, starting on August 20th, 2011 from all eligible entries received by 11:59 p.m. ET on the previous day. Unselected entries will not be eligible for subsequent daily draws. Each Daily Prize will be delivered within 4-6 weeks of each Daily Prize draw.

A maximum of one (1) Daily Prize per person will be awarded. Odds of winning a Daily Prize depend on the number of eligible entries received the day prior to the day of the Daily Prize draw.

All eligible entries received during the Contest Period will be eligible for the Grand Prize draw.

8. Winner Requirements: The potential Grand Prize winner will be required to sign and return a declaration of compliance and all required release forms (including from the Grand Prize winner’s travel companions), which must be received by the Administrator within ten (10) days of the date the notice or attempted notice of the potential Grand Prize win is sent, in order to be determined a winner and claim the Grand Prize. If a potential Grand Prize winner is disqualified for any reason, an alternate winner will be selected. Only two (2) alternate winners will be determined for the Grand Prize, after which the Grand Prize may remain un-awarded. Acceptance of any prize shall constitute and signify winner’s agreement and consent that Sponsor and its designees may use the winner’s name, city, province/territory, likeness, and/or prize information in connection with the Contest for promotional, advertising or other purposes, worldwide, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, including the Internet, without limitation and without further payment, notification, permission or other consideration, except where prohibited by law. Sponsor shall not incur any liability whatsoever to the extent Sponsor chooses to refrain from any exploitation of its rights hereunder. Each prize winner will indemnify Sponsor, the Released Parties (as hereinafter defined) and any licensee of Sponsor against all claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable counsel fees and legal expenses) arising out of any breach of these terms.

Sponsor is not responsible for wrong or incomplete mailing addresses. PO Box addresses will not be accepted.

9. All potential WINNERS are subject to verification by Sponsor, whose decisions are final AND BINDING IN ALL MATTERS RELATED TO THE CONTEST. An entrant is not a winner of any prize, even if the CONTEST SHOULD so indicate, unless and until entrant’s eligibility HAS BEEN VERIFIED INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION the entrant providing THE CORRECT ANSWER TO THE SKILL-TESTING QUESTION and entrant has been notified that verification is complete. Sponsor will not accept screen shots or other evidence of winning in lieu of its validation process. any ENTRY that occurs after the system has failed for any reason is deemed a defective ENTRY and is void and will not be honoured.

10. Release: By participating in this Contest, and/or receipt of any prize, entrant agrees to release and hold harmless the Sponsor, Canadian Tire Financial Services Limited, Canadian Tire Associate Dealers, Canadian Tire Petroleum Agents, agents and representatives, the NHL Entities, TrojanOne Ltd., the Administrator, their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising/contest agencies, and prize suppliers, and each of their respective parent and affiliate companies and each such company’s officers, directors, employees and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action, including, but not limited to, defamation, slander, personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, arising out of participation in the Contest, the awarding of any prize, the receipt, use or misuse of any prize, including any travel related thereto, or the use of personal information. The Released Parties make no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind concerning any prize and disclaim any implied warranty. The winner and the travel companions (or the parent/legal guardian if a travel companion is a minor) must sign a declaration and release form, and such other supporting documentation that the Sponsor may request, to give effect to such release prior to the receipt of any prize.

11. General Conditions: Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the Contest, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failure or any other factor beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Contest, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion and subject to the approval of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux in Quebec. In such event, Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, determine the Contest winner from eligible entries received prior to such cancellation. Sponsor, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process, including without limitation, the use of any computer software, mechanical or other device to increase the number of entries submitted, or the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or those of any other promotion or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.

12. No Liability: All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged or misdirected entries or for any failure of the Website during the Contest Period, typographical or other errors in the offer or administration of this Contest, including but not limited to errors in advertising, the Official Rules, the selection and announcement of winners, or the distribution of any prize, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by Sponsor on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any material in the Contest. Entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are illegible, mechanically reproduced, mutilated, forged, falsified, altered or tampered with in any way. Entrants agree to abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and Administrator, which are final and binding.

13. These Official Rules are subject to change without notice in order to comply with any applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws or the policy of any other entity having jurisdiction over the Sponsor.

14. Limitations of Liability: Entrant agrees that under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

15. Governing Law All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Sponsor in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the Province of Ontario, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the Province of Ontario or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the Province of Ontario. For Residents of Quebec Only: Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux (the “Régie”) for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.

16. Entrant's Personal Information: By entering this Contest, each entrant expressly consents to the Sponsor, its agents and/or representatives, storing, sharing and using the personal information submitted with his/her entry only for the purpose of administering the Contest and in accordance with Sponsor’s Privacy Policy unless the entrant otherwise agrees.

17. In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of these Official Rules and disclosures or other statements contained in any related materials, including but not limited to the Contest entry form, or point of sale, television, print or online advertising, the terms and conditions of the Official Rules shall prevail, govern and control. In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the English language version and the French language version of the Official Rules, as applicable, the English shall prevail, govern and control.
