    How old do I have to be to register/become a member?

    Everyone is welcome to join the Canadian Tire Hockey School as a member! We do, however, have two levels of online memberships, one for those 13 years of age or older and one for our members under 13 years of age.

    How do I create an account for my family members under 13 years of age?

    During the registration process we will ask you if you would like to add any of your children to your account. If you choose to add them, you will choose a username and password for your child/children. Let your kids know what their sign in information is so they can sign in and create their hockey card or check out the lesson. Be sure to print and write down their usernames and passwords for future reference. Go through the lessons together, and help them create their hockey card. Above all, be sure to always monitor your child's access and browsing of the Internet at all times.

    The Canadian Tire NHL Junior SkillsTM is fashioned after the NHL All-Star Skills CompetitionTM and will take place in select cities across Canada. Players aged 7-12 will compete in NHL® skills-inspired tests including Fastest Skating, Accuracy Shooting, Accuracy Passing and Puck Control. Top qualifiers will be invited to compete in the National Championship in Ottawa during the 2012 NHL® All-Star weekend.

    To register your child for the contest, and the chance to attend a Canadian Tire NHL Junior SkillsTM Qualifying Event near you, simply become a member of the Canadian Tire Hockey School by registering on this website and add your children to your account. How do I create an account for my family members under 13 years of age?

    Once you do this and are signed in, you can add your children to the contest by clicking the 'Enter now' button to the right of the 'How to Enter Contest' section of the NHL Junior SkillsTM page. You can then add any or all of your children between the ages of 7-12 into the Canadian Tire NHL Junior Skills™ contest.

    When do I know if my child has been selected for a Canadian Tire NHL Junior SkillsTM Qualifying Event?

    You can first check the Canadian Tire NHL Junior SkillsTM page for the draw dates for each qualifying event. You will also receive an e-mail notifying you whether your child has been selected to attend a qualifying event, no later than 7 days prior to the selected camp. All potential winners will be notified as described in rules and regulations.
